Petroleum Jellies

Also known as petrolatum or white soft paraffin — USP/BP pharmaceutical grade & technical grade

USP / BP pharma grade Technical grade Snow white Yellow grades Slab Drums

Petroleum jelly — also known as petrolatum or white soft paraffin — is a semi-solid, purified mixture of microcrystalline waxes and mineral oils, produced through intensive refining to achieve exceptional chemical inertness, oxidation stability, and a smooth, homogeneous texture. Its defining functional property is its outstanding occlusive moisture barrier: when applied to skin or surfaces, petroleum jelly forms a physical seal that locks in moisture, prevents water loss, and protects against environmental exposure — making it one of the most effective and widely used protective base materials in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and personal care formulations. WME supplies petroleum jelly in both USP/BP pharmaceutical grade and technical grade, covering the full spectrum from sensitive skin and wound-care applications through to industrial protective coatings and rust prevention. Pharmaceutical-grade petrolatum meets the stringent purity and safety standards required for use in ointments, lip balms, baby care, and topical drug delivery systems. Technical grades serve more demanding industrial environments where protection, lubrication, and corrosion resistance are the primary objectives. Available in slab and drum packaging, with ready stock maintained across the MENA region for reliable, on-schedule delivery.

Key functional property — occlusive moisture barrier Petroleum jelly forms a physical seal on skin and surfaces, locking in moisture and blocking environmental exposure. This makes it one of the most effective protective and emollient base materials available — a property no synthetic alternative fully replicates.
